Meet the Team

Much of EMBG’s success can be attributed to the team of managers and chefs who work behind the scenes to ensure your visit to our restaurant is an awesome experience.

EMBG - Manager - PaddyPaddy Diamond, General Manager

Paddy Diamond bit into the hospitality industry at an early age as a bartender in his hometown of Syracuse, NY.  He relocated to Raleigh in 2004 to start managing at RiRa Irish Pub.  Always one for a party, Paddy excelled at throwing large events.  He now has over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry having managed local favorites like Napper Tandy’s Irish pub and the Players’ Retreat.

Although he is happily living in Raleigh, his heart still belongs to the Syracuse Orange and you can always find Paddy cheering on his team.  During his time away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and seven year old son.  Paddy also likes staying physically active and maintains a healthy lifestyle by riding his bike.  His favorite meal to eat at Edward’s Mill is the turkey ranch club.

Paddy believes his personable skills have lead him on the path to success, and he makes a point to treat everyone the way he would want to be treated.

EMBG - Manager - Melissa2Melissa DeBruhl, Manager

Melissa was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Lumberton, NC at age 10. She attended East Carolina University and has been living in Raleigh since 1994. At age 18, Melissa joined the hospitality industry and has loved every minute. She has worked in four area restaurants and now calls Edwards Mill Bar & Grill ‘home.’  She’s a self-proclaimed social butterfly and loves how the restaurant industry lets her play host to the best times in town.

When she isn’t at The Mill, you can find Melissa cheering on her three boys at their football, baseball, and basketball games. She loves fishing, four-wheeling, camping, hiking, and the beach. If Melissa isn’t at Edwards Mill, you’ll find her exploring the great outdoors! And if its raining? She’s inside – bribing her boys to a game of Monopoly or Battleship.

Candace Little, Manager

Candace was born and raised in the Florida panhandle before moving to Raleigh.  She comes from a large tight knit family, so she strives to make everyone who comes to Edward’s Mill feel like a member of the family! Her positive energy brings a welcoming and fun atmosphere to the Mill.

Her favorite item from the menu is the Hot Italian sandwich. When she isn’t making guests feel at home, she loves creating crafts, going on hiking adventures, or going horseback riding!
